Our last day

We went into the unit for the last time said goodbye to the nurses and spoke to them about how we organized supplies. We walk to Tumaini which means hope it is a shelter for children who live on the streets in Kenya. We gave them the soccer balls and frisbees and pencils they loved them. Mom check out the pictures of them with the soccer ball.there is also a picture of them in school we saw a board with wishes many of them say they want to be a doctor. I took picture of a mom on the side of the road with her child. Notice the man on the bike carry two very heavy cylinders full of liquid and a big container on the back this is how they get things from one place to another if they have no car or the walk. There is a picture of our guard his name is Michael. He is so friendly always happy to see you and knows every ones name. There is a picture of a big fancy Hindu church we walk by everyday. Funny before the church was there were not sidewalks here just dirt. I also included some beautiful flowers and of course animals.

The weekend Saturday the 22 nd

Today we went to the Olympic training center where athletes from all over the world train because of the high altitude. You can see in the pictures that they have a great workout room and pool. We also went to a place call cario-view which has amazing views as you can see. I also included some of the flowers we saw. The other pictures are on the drive there with more crowded market places, people walking down the road, and pictures of the furniture and ironwork all made but hand on the side of the road. For the animal lovers some more pics.

This should have been for Thursday the 20th

Sorry for the late post our internet service has been poor We went into town to look for containers for all the supplies we organized but a container that would have cost about 20 dollars in the US was about 60 here so we did not get. When we were in town we also went to Roberts (cindy and ashley take note)it was market day and you can see the street is crowded with people selling things note the lady carrying the bananas on her head. When we walked into the hospital we saw a gathering of nurses we think it was about the strike. When we walk in there is a man that fixes broken shoes on the corner. You can also see a guy cutting grass with a hedge trimmers and it was a good size yard. Linda is doing laundry and of course some animal pics.
